CVE-2026-54531 2 Py-pdf, Pypdf Project 2 Pypdf, Pypdf 2026-06-23 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.13.0, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop. This requires merging a file with outlines into a writer. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.13.0.
CVE-2026-54530 2 Py-pdf, Pypdf Project 2 Pypdf, Pypdf 2026-06-23 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.13.0, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop. This requires extracting the text in layout mode. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.13.0.
CVE-2026-50171 1 Angular 1 Angular 2026-06-23 6.1 Medium
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23, a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the @angular/common package of Angular. The formatNumber function, which is also utilized by DecimalPipe, PercentPipe, and CurrencyPipe, does not properly validate the upper bounds of the digitsInfo parameter. Specifically, the minimum and maximum fraction digits parsed from the digitsInfo string (e.g., 1.2-4) are converted to integers and used without limits. When parsing a maliciously crafted digitsInfo string with excessively large fraction digit values (e.g., 1.200000000-200000000), the internal roundNumber function attempts to pad the digits array to match the requested fraction size. This results in an unbounded loop that repeatedly pushes elements into an array. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.0.0-rc.2, 21.2.15, 20.3.22, and 19.2.23.
CVE-2026-49461 2 Py-pdf, Pypdf Project 2 Pypdf, Pypdf 2026-06-23 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.12.2, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to large memory usage. This requires extracting the text of a page which contains a form XObject with self-references. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.12.2.
CVE-2026-54651 2 Py-pdf, Pypdf Project 2 Pypdf, Pypdf 2026-06-23 5.5 Medium
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.13.1, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop. This requires merging a file with threads/articles into a writer. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.13.1.
CVE-2026-48986 1 Mcdope 1 Pam Usb 2026-06-22 4.7 Medium
pam_usb provides hardware authentication for Linux using removable media. In pam_usb 0.9.1 and earlier, usb_get_process_parent_id() can cause an infinite loop DoS because it does not initialize *ppid on failure. In pusb_local_login(), the same variable is reused as input and output in a process-tree while loop; if /proc/<pid>/stat cannot be read (for example, when an ancestor process exits during authentication), the PID is not updated and the loop does not terminate. This hangs the authenticating process (such as sudo, sshd, or login) until it is forcibly terminated. This issue has been fixed in version 0.9.2.
CVE-2026-46314 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-19 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/v3d: Reject empty multisync extension to prevent infinite loop v3d_get_extensions() walks a userspace-provided singly-linked list of ioctl extensions without any bound on the chain length. A local user can craft a self-referential extension (ext->next == &ext) with zero in_sync_count and out_sync_count, which bypasses the existing duplicate- extension guard: if (se->in_sync_count || se->out_sync_count) return -EINVAL; The guard never fires because v3d_get_multisync_post_deps() returns immediately when count is zero, leaving both fields at zero on every iteration. The result is an infinite loop in kernel context, blocking the calling thread and pegging a CPU core indefinitely. Fix this by rejecting a multisync extension where both in_sync_count and out_sync_count are zero in v3d_get_multisync_submit_deps(). An empty multisync carries no synchronization information and serves no useful purpose, so returning -EINVAL for such an extension is the correct defense against this attack vector.
CVE-2026-55199 1 Libssh2 1 Libssh2 2026-06-18 5.9 Medium
libssh2 through 1.11.1, fixed in commit 1762685, contains a pre-authentication denial of service vulnerability in the SSH_MSG_EXT_INFO handler in src/packet.c that allows a malicious SSH server to cause a client CPU exhaustion loop by sending a crafted extension count value. A malicious server can set nr_extensions to 0xFFFFFFFF during key exchange, causing the client to spin in a tight CPU loop for over 60 seconds because return values from _libssh2_get_string() are unchecked and the session timeout does not apply to CPU-bound loops.
CVE-2026-45953 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-16 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid5: fix IO hang with degraded array with llbitmap When llbitmap bit state is still unwritten, any new write should force rcw, as bitmap_ops->blocks_synced() is checked in handle_stripe_dirtying(). However, later the same check is missing in need_this_block(), causing stripe to deadloop during handling because handle_stripe() will decide to go to handle_stripe_fill(), meanwhile need_this_block() always return 0 and nothing is handled.
CVE-2026-45957 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-16 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rcu: Fix rcu_read_unlock() deadloop due to softirq Commit 5f5fa7ea89dc ("rcu: Don't use negative nesting depth in __rcu_read_unlock()") removes the recursion-protection code from __rcu_read_unlock(). Therefore, we could invoke the deadloop in raise_softirq_irqoff() with ftrace enabled as follows: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at kernel/trace/trace.c:3021 __ftrace_trace_stack.constprop.0+0x172/0x180 Modules linked in: my_irq_work(O) CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Tainted: G O 6.18.0-rc7-dirty #23 PREEMPT(full) Tainted: [O]=OOT_MODULE Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.15.0-1 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:__ftrace_trace_stack.constprop.0+0x172/0x180 RSP: 0018:ffffc900000034a8 EFLAGS: 00010002 RAX: 0000000000000000 RBX: 0000000000000004 RCX: 0000000000000000 RDX: 0000000000000003 RSI: ffffffff826d7b87 RDI: ffffffff826e9329 RBP: 0000000000090009 R08: 0000000000000005 R09: ffffffff82afbc4c R10: 0000000000000008 R11: 0000000000011d7a R12: 0000000000000000 R13: ffff888003874100 R14: 0000000000000003 R15: ffff8880038c1054 FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff8880fa8ea000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 000055b31fa7f540 CR3: 00000000078f4005 CR4: 0000000000770ef0 PKRU: 55555554 Call Trace: <IRQ> trace_buffer_unlock_commit_regs+0x6d/0x220 trace_event_buffer_commit+0x5c/0x260 trace_event_raw_event_softirq+0x47/0x80 raise_softirq_irqoff+0x6e/0xa0 rcu_read_unlock_special+0xb1/0x160 unwind_next_frame+0x203/0x9b0 __unwind_start+0x15d/0x1c0 arch_stack_walk+0x62/0xf0 stack_trace_save+0x48/0x70 __ftrace_trace_stack.constprop.0+0x144/0x180 trace_buffer_unlock_commit_regs+0x6d/0x220 trace_event_buffer_commit+0x5c/0x260 trace_event_raw_event_softirq+0x47/0x80 raise_softirq_irqoff+0x6e/0xa0 rcu_read_unlock_special+0xb1/0x160 unwind_next_frame+0x203/0x9b0 __unwind_start+0x15d/0x1c0 arch_stack_walk+0x62/0xf0 stack_trace_save+0x48/0x70 __ftrace_trace_stack.constprop.0+0x144/0x180 trace_buffer_unlock_commit_regs+0x6d/0x220 trace_event_buffer_commit+0x5c/0x260 trace_event_raw_event_softirq+0x47/0x80 raise_softirq_irqoff+0x6e/0xa0 rcu_read_unlock_special+0xb1/0x160 unwind_next_frame+0x203/0x9b0 __unwind_start+0x15d/0x1c0 arch_stack_walk+0x62/0xf0 stack_trace_save+0x48/0x70 __ftrace_trace_stack.constprop.0+0x144/0x180 trace_buffer_unlock_commit_regs+0x6d/0x220 trace_event_buffer_commit+0x5c/0x260 trace_event_raw_event_softirq+0x47/0x80 raise_softirq_irqoff+0x6e/0xa0 rcu_read_unlock_special+0xb1/0x160 __is_insn_slot_addr+0x54/0x70 kernel_text_address+0x48/0xc0 __kernel_text_address+0xd/0x40 unwind_get_return_address+0x1e/0x40 arch_stack_walk+0x9c/0xf0 stack_trace_save+0x48/0x70 __ftrace_trace_stack.constprop.0+0x144/0x180 trace_buffer_unlock_commit_regs+0x6d/0x220 trace_event_buffer_commit+0x5c/0x260 trace_event_raw_event_softirq+0x47/0x80 __raise_softirq_irqoff+0x61/0x80 __flush_smp_call_function_queue+0x115/0x420 __sysvec_call_function_single+0x17/0xb0 sysvec_call_function_single+0x8c/0xc0 </IRQ> Commit b41642c87716 ("rcu: Fix rcu_read_unlock() deadloop due to IRQ work") fixed the infinite loop in rcu_read_unlock_special() for IRQ work by setting a flag before calling irq_work_queue_on(). We fix this issue by setting the same flag before calling raise_softirq_irqoff() and rename the flag to defer_qs_pending for more common.

CVE-2026-46522 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-06-11 7.5 High
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 7.1.2.23 and 6.9.13-48, due to a missing check in the MIFF decoder, a crafted file could cause an infinite loop resulting in CPU exhaustion. Versions 7.1.2.23 and 6.9.13-48 fix the issue.
CVE-2026-44186 1 Apache 2 Apache Http Server, Http Server 2026-06-11 7.3 High
Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in the mod_proxy_ftp module in Apache HTTP Server with an attacker controlled backend FTP server. This issue affects undefined: from 2.4.0 through 2.4.67. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.68, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-49495 1 Nsa 1 Ghidra 2026-06-10 5.5 Medium
Ghidra 10.2 before 12.1 contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in ExportTrie.parseTrie() that lacks cycle detection when traversing Mach-O binary export tries. A crafted Mach-O binary with circular references in the export trie causes unbounded queue growth and exponential string concatenation, triggering OutOfMemoryError that crashes the entire JVM and loses all unsaved work.
CVE-2024-43512 1 Microsoft 5 Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016 and 2 more 2026-06-09 6.5 Medium
Windows Standards-Based Storage Management Service Denial of Service Vulnerability
CVE-2024-28836 1 Trustedfirmware 1 Mbed Tls 2026-06-05 5.4 Medium
An issue was discovered in Mbed TLS 3.5.x before 3.6.0. When negotiating the TLS version on the server side, it can fall back to the TLS 1.2 implementation of the protocol if it is disabled. If the TLS 1.2 implementation was disabled at build time, a TLS 1.2 client could put a TLS 1.3-only server into an infinite loop processing a TLS 1.2 ClientHello, resulting in a denial of service. If the TLS 1.2 implementation was disabled at runtime, a TLS 1.2 client can successfully establish a TLS 1.2 connection with the server.
CVE-2026-41511 2 Ironfede, Openmcdf 2 Openmcdf, Openmcdf 2026-06-05 6.2 Medium
OpenMcdf is a fully .NET / C# library to manipulate Compound File Binary File Format files, also known as Structured Storage. Prior to version 3.1.3, OpenMcdf does not detect cycles in the directory entry red-black tree of a Compound File Binary (CFB) document. A crafted CFB file with a cycle in the LeftSiblingID / RightSiblingID chain causes Storage.EnumerateEntries() and Storage.OpenStream() to loop indefinitely, consuming the calling thread with no possibility of recovery via try/catch. This issue has been patched in version 3.1.3.
CVE-2026-2219 1 Debian 1 Dpkg 2026-06-02 7.5 High
It was discovered that dpkg-deb (a component of dpkg, the Debian package management system) does not properly validate the end of the data stream when uncompressing a zstd-compressed .deb archive, which may result in denial of service (infinite loop spinning the CPU).
