CVE-2019-17498 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libssh2 and 3 more 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libssh2 and 10 more 2026-10-14 8.1 High
In libssh2 v1.9.0 and earlier versions, the SSH_MSG_DISCONNECT logic in packet.c has an integer overflow in a bounds check, enabling an attacker to specify an arbitrary (out-of-bounds) offset for a subsequent memory read. A crafted SSH server may be able to disclose sensitive information or cause a denial of service condition on the client system when a user connects to the server.
CVE-2019-16168 9 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 21 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 18 more 2026-10-14 6.5 Medium
In SQLite through 3.29.0, whereLoopAddBtreeIndex in sqlite3.c can crash a browser or other application because of missing validation of a sqlite_stat1 sz field, aka a "severe division by zero in the query planner."
CVE-2019-16056 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 11 more 2026-10-14 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Python through 2.7.16, 3.x through 3.5.7, 3.6.x through 3.6.9, and 3.7.x through 3.7.4. The email module wrongly parses email addresses that contain multiple @ characters. An application that uses the email module and implements some kind of checks on the From/To headers of a message could be tricked into accepting an email address that should be denied. An attack may be the same as in CVE-2019-11340; however, this CVE applies to Python more generally.
CVE-2019-15903 3 Libexpat Project, Python, Redhat 5 Libexpat, Python, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2026-10-14 6.5 Medium
In libexpat before 2.2.8, crafted XML input could fool the parser into changing from DTD parsing to document parsing too early; a consecutive call to XML_GetCurrentLineNumber (or XML_GetCurrentColumnNumber) then resulted in a heap-based buffer over-read.
CVE-2019-15847 3 Gnu, Opensuse, Redhat 4 Gcc, Leap, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-10-14 7.5 High
The POWER9 backend in GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) before version 10 could optimize multiple calls of the __builtin_darn intrinsic into a single call, thus reducing the entropy of the random number generator. This occurred because a volatile operation was not specified. For example, within a single execution of a program, the output of every __builtin_darn() call may be the same.
CVE-2019-13627 5 Canonical, Debian, Libgcrypt20 Project and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt20 and 2 more 2026-10-14 6.3 Medium
It was discovered that there was a ECDSA timing attack in the libgcrypt20 cryptographic library. Version affected: 1.8.4-5, 1.7.6-2+deb9u3, and 1.6.3-2+deb8u4. Versions fixed: 1.8.5-2 and 1.6.3-2+deb8u7.
CVE-2019-12900 7 Bzip, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 9 Bzip2, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 6 more 2026-10-14 9.8 Critical
BZ2_decompress in decompress.c in bzip2 through 1.0.6 has an out-of-bounds write when there are many selectors.
CVE-2019-10160 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 13 more 2026-10-14 9.8 Critical
A security regression of CVE-2019-9636 was discovered in python since commit d537ab0ff9767ef024f26246899728f0116b1ec3 affecting versions 2.7, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and from v3.8.0a4 through v3.8.0b1, which still allows an attacker to exploit CVE-2019-9636 by abusing the user and password parts of a URL. When an application parses user-supplied URLs to store cookies, authentication credentials, or other kind of information, it is possible for an attacker to provide specially crafted URLs to make the application locate host-related information (e.g. cookies, authentication data) and send them to a different host than where it should, unlike if the URLs had been correctly parsed. The result of an attack may vary based on the application.
CVE-2018-20843 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more 2026-10-14 7.5 High
In libexpat in Expat before 2.2.7, XML input including XML names that contain a large number of colons could make the XML parser consume a high amount of RAM and CPU resources while processing (enough to be usable for denial-of-service attacks).
CVE-2018-14567 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Tower and 2 more 2026-10-14 N/A
libxml2 2.9.8, if --with-lzma is used, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted XML file that triggers LZMA_MEMLIMIT_ERROR, as demonstrated by xmllint, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-8035 and CVE-2018-9251.
CVE-2018-14404 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Tower and 3 more 2026-10-14 6.5 Medium
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the xpath.c:xmlXPathCompOpEval() function of libxml2 through 2.9.8 when parsing an invalid XPath expression in the XPATH_OP_AND or XPATH_OP_OR case. Applications processing untrusted XSL format inputs with the use of the libxml2 library may be vulnerable to a denial of service attack due to a crash of the application.
CVE-2018-0495 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnupg and 2 more 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt and 11 more 2026-10-14 N/A
Libgcrypt before 1.7.10 and 1.8.x before 1.8.3 allows a memory-cache side-channel attack on ECDSA signatures that can be mitigated through the use of blinding during the signing process in the _gcry_ecc_ecdsa_sign function in cipher/ecc-ecdsa.c, aka the Return Of the Hidden Number Problem or ROHNP. To discover an ECDSA key, the attacker needs access to either the local machine or a different virtual machine on the same physical host.
CVE-2017-9050 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 2026-10-14 7.5 High
libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictAddString function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-1839.
CVE-2017-9049 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 2026-10-14 7.5 High
libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictComputeFastKey function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for libxml2 Bug 759398.
CVE-2017-9048 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 2026-10-14 7.5 High
libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. At the end of the routine, the function may strcat two more characters without checking whether the current strlen(buf) + 2 < size. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash.
CVE-2017-9047 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 2026-10-14 N/A
A buffer overflow was discovered in libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. The variable len is assigned strlen(buf). If the content->type is XML_ELEMENT_CONTENT_ELEMENT, then (i) the content->prefix is appended to buf (if it actually fits) whereupon (ii) content->name is written to the buffer. However, the check for whether the content->name actually fits also uses 'len' rather than the updated buffer length strlen(buf). This allows us to write about "size" many bytes beyond the allocated memory. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash.
CVE-2017-18258 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 4 Ansible Tower, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more 2026-10-14 N/A
The xz_head function in xzlib.c in libxml2 before 2.9.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted LZMA file, because the decoder functionality does not restrict memory usage to what is required for a legitimate file.
CVE-2017-15422 5 Canonical, Debian, Google and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Chrome and 5 more 2026-10-14 N/A
Integer overflow in international date handling in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ before 60.1, as used in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
