| CVE-2020-1752 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 2 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Glibc and 7 more | 2026-10-14 | 7 High |
| A use-after-free vulnerability introduced in glibc upstream version 2.14 was found in the way the tilde expansion was carried out. Directory paths containing an initial tilde followed by a valid username were affected by this issue. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by creating a specially crafted path that, when processed by the glob function, would potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. This was fixed in version 2.32. | ||||
| CVE-2020-1712 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Systemd Project | 8 Debian Linux, Ceph Storage, Discovery and 5 more | 2026-10-14 | 7.8 High |
| A heap use-after-free vulnerability was found in systemd before version v245-rc1, where asynchronous Polkit queries are performed while handling dbus messages. A local unprivileged attacker can abuse this flaw to crash systemd services or potentially execute code and elevate their privileges, by sending specially crafted dbus messages. | ||||
| CVE-2019-20795 | 2 Canonical, Iproute2 Project | 2 Ubuntu Linux, Iproute2 | 2026-10-14 | 4.4 Medium |
| iproute2 before 5.1.0 has a use-after-free in get_netnsid_from_name in ip/ipnetns.c. NOTE: security relevance may be limited to certain uses of setuid that, although not a default, are sometimes a configuration option offered to end users. Even when setuid is used, other factors (such as C library configuration) may block exploitability. | ||||

| CVE-2019-5018 | 3 Canonical, Redhat, Sqlite | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, Sqlite | 2026-10-14 | 8.1 High |
| An exploitable use after free vulnerability exists in the window function functionality of Sqlite3 3.26.0. A specially crafted SQL command can cause a use after free vulnerability, potentially resulting in remote code execution. An attacker can send a malicious SQL command to trigger this vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2016-5131 | 8 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 5 more | 18 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 15 more | 2026-10-14 | 8.8 High |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in libxml2 through 2.9.4, as used in Google Chrome before 52.0.2743.82, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the XPointer range-to function. | ||||
| CVE-2016-4658 | 3 Apple, Redhat, Xmlsoft | 6 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 3 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| xpointer.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 (as used in Apple iOS before 10, OS X before 10.12, tvOS before 10, and watchOS before 3, and other products) does not forbid namespace nodes in XPointer ranges, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) via a crafted XML document. | ||||
| CVE-2016-3189 | 2 Bzip, Python | 2 Bzip2, Python | 2026-10-14 | 6.5 Medium |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in bzip2recover in bzip2 1.0.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted bzip2 file, related to block ends set to before the start of the block. | ||||
| CVE-2026-55653 | 3 Openbsd, Openssh, Redhat | 12 Openssh, Openssh, Enterprise Linux and 9 more | 2026-10-14 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in OpenSSH. A malicious SSH server can exploit a double free vulnerability in the Diffie-Hellman Group Exchange (DH-GEX) client path. This occurs during FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) mode known-group validation when the client processes attacker-controlled DH-GEX group parameters. Successful exploitation leads to client-side process termination, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). | ||||
| CVE-2026-105715 | 1 Microsoft | 6 365 Apps, Office 2021, Office 2024 and 3 more | 2026-10-14 | 7.5 High |
| Integer overflow or wraparound in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-69765 | 1 Microsoft | 2 Windows Server 2025, Windows Server 2025 (server Core Installation) | 2026-10-14 | 8.8 High |
| Use after free in Windows Storport Miniport Driver allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-94370 | 1 Qt | 1 Qt For Mcus | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| A defect in the Qt for MCUs core string handling causes heap memory corruption. When an application passes text into Qt Quick Ultralite using the public Qul::String interface type, and that text is held in a std::string, the conversion to the internal string type copies the pointer without taking ownership of it. Two objects then release the same memory, producing a double free, an invalid free, or a use-after-free. | ||||
| CVE-2026-50217 | 2026-10-14 | 4.7 Medium | ||
| A use-after-free vulnerability in the Windows WFP callout driver of Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) allows a local low-privileged user to cause a denial of service (system crash / BSOD) via an outbound ICMPv6 packet containing an IPv6 Hop-by-Hop extension header. When the IPv6 ICMP redirect policy is active, the packet is copied into a buffer that is freed but subsequently passed to a downstream filter. The size of the freed allocation is attacker-controlled (via packet length), enabling kernel pool grooming. Exploitation requires that the non-default IPv6 ICMP capture/redirect policy is enabled for the endpoint. | ||||
| CVE-2026-50215 | 2026-10-14 | 4.4 Medium | ||
| A use-after-free exists in the Windows WFP packet-capture driver shipped with Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) before 7.4. When an IPv6 proxy/redirect rule is active, a local attacker with Administrator privileges can send a single crafted outbound IPv6 packet via a raw IPV6_HDRINCL socket to trigger this at DISPATCH_LEVEL, resulting in an immediate system crash. | ||||
| CVE-2026-85197 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus | 2026-10-14 | 7.6 High |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. A malicious HTTP/2 server or a Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacker can exploit a heap use-after-free vulnerability in the HTTP/2 client implementation. This occurs when a GNOME application uploads a file using HTTP/2, and the server sends a GOAWAY frame while the file body is being read asynchronously. This can lead to memory corruption, potentially resulting in information disclosure or arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-105010 | 1 Microsoft | 14 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 11 more | 2026-10-14 | 9.8 Critical |
| Use after free in Microsoft Windows Search Component allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14164 | 3 Libarchive, Red Hat, Redhat | 15 Libarchive, Enterprise Linux, Ai Inference Server and 12 more | 2026-10-14 | 7.5 High |
| A double free issue has been identified in libarchive's RAR5 reader. During parsing of a specially crafted RAR5 archive, the filtered_buf pointer may remain stale after being freed during unpacking state reinitialization. Subsequent processing of another archive entry can trigger a second free of the same memory region, resulting in a double-free condition. Successful exploitation may cause applications using the vulnerable libarchive API to terminate unexpectedly, leading to a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19548 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 7 Binutils, Adminutil, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2026-10-14 | 5.5 Medium |
| Multiple Use-After-Free vulnerabilities were found in the add_archive_element function in ld/ldmain.c of the GNU linker (ld), a component of binutils. The root cause is that plugin_maybe_claim() in ld/plugin.c frees the original BFD object via bfd_close/_bfd_delete_bfd when entry->the_bfd->my_archive == NULL, but the caller retains both the original abfd parameter and a shallow copy (orig_input.the_bfd) as dangling pointers. These dangling pointers are subsequently dereferenced at three distinct locations in add_archive_element: 1. Line ~1442: accessing abfd->my_archive via bfd_usrdata(abfd->my_archive) 2. Line ~1493: multiple accesses to abfd and abfd->my_archive in a conditional check and bfd_get_filename call 3. Line ~1525: dereferencing the shallow copy orig_input.the_bfd->my_archive in trace/verbose logging The vulnerability is triggered when LTO plugins are active (link_info.lto_plugin_active is true) and the input object has abfd->my_archive == NULL, which is a valid state for standalone object files. Red Hat builds binutils with --enable-plugins and --enable-lto, confirming the vulnerable code path is compiled in and reachable. An attacker who can supply a crafted object or archive file to a build process using LTO-enabled linking could exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service (linker crash via segmentation fault). Arbitrary code execution is theoretically possible through heap manipulation but is substantially mitigated by hardening measures including stack protector, FORTIFY_SOURCE, ASLR, and PIE. The attack surface is limited to build-time environments — the linker is a development tool not exposed in production runtime. The most realistic exploitation scenario is a supply chain attack introducing a crafted object file as a build dependency in CI/CD pipelines or development environments. | ||||
