CVSS v3.1 |
| Podman is a tool for managing OCI containers and pods. From 4.4.0 until 5.8.8 and 6.1.3, podman run treats an image carrying the io.podman.annotations.checkpoint.runtime.name annotation as a checkpoint and silently ignores user-supplied container creation restrictions such as --cap-drop=ALL, allowing image-controlled checkpoint state to select weaker sandbox settings and capabilities. Rootless containers are not affected because checkpoint and restore are unavailable in that mode. This issue is fixed in versions 5.8.8 and 6.1.3. |
| Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a malicious package publisher or a hostile repository server to inject terminal control sequences into the output of Mix tasks.
Hex prints strings supplied by the package repository and the documentation search service straight to the terminal through Hex.Shell.info/1 and Hex.Shell.error/1, neutralizing no control characters. Affected sinks span package metadata and configuration snippets in mix hex.info, search results in mix hex.package search and mix hex.search, owner and organization listings, publish and sponsor URLs, the authenticated username in mix hex.user, policy identities in mix hex.policy, and API error bodies rendered by Hex.Utils.print_error_result/1. A malicious package can embed ANSI escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) or Unicode bidirectional overrides in any of those fields, so the bytes reach the terminal unchanged, forging displayed URLs, package descriptions and suggested commands, concealing real output, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package.
This issue affects hex: from 0.0.1 before 2.5.2. |
| Aegisub is a cross-platform advanced subtitle editor. From 3.2.0 to 3.4.2, Aegisub automatically loads Automation scripts referenced by `Automation Scripts` metadata in `ASS` subtitle projects without asking whether the user trusts the scripts or their authors. An attacker can distribute a crafted `ASS` file together with a referenced malicious Automation script, and opening the `AS` file executes arbitrary code with the privileges of the Aegisub process. From 3.4.0 to 3.4.2, inconsistent handling of embedded `NUL` characters between extension validation and filesystem operations additionally allows a crafted `ASS/Lua` polyglot to reference and execute itself as a single-file variant. The vulnerability is fixed in Aegisub 3.5.0. |
| MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the mariadb.service unit used /run/mysqld/wsrep-new-cluster during the next service restart. A database user with FILE privilege and a secure-file-priv configuration permitting writes to /run/mysqld could create that file and inject attacker-controlled environment values into the restarted service. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2. |
| FreePBX is an open source IP PBX. Prior to 16.0.47 and 17.0.30, the FreePBX Framework module permits a crafted backup to restore the hidden AUTHTYPE setting with the value none through runRestore() in amp_conf/htdocs/admin/libraries/Builtin/Restore.php. An authenticated user with sufficient backup-restore access or write access to backup files can thereby disable FreePBX authentication during restoration, bypassing the user-interface removal of AUTHTYPE=none. This issue is fixed in versions 16.0.47 and 17.0.30. |
| Improper Neutralization of Null Byte or NUL Character vulnerability in the EventLogAppender of Apache log4net.
A NUL character in logged content ended the Windows Event Log record at that point, so everything the layout rendered after it, including exception text and trailing fields, was silently not stored. A party whose data reaches a log message could hide the rest of that record. Only applications on Windows that use EventLogAppender are affected.
This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.9 before 3.5.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue. |
| Improper Neutralization of Null Byte or NUL Character vulnerability in the OutputDebugStringAppender of Apache log4net.
A NUL character in logged content ended the debug output record at that point, so everything the layout rendered after it, including exception text and trailing fields, was silently lost. A party whose data reaches a log message could hide the rest of that record. Only applications on Windows that use OutputDebugStringAppender are affected.
This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.9 before 3.5.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue. |
| openapi-python-client generates Python clients from OpenAPI documents. Prior to 0.29.1, the generator does not safely neutralize malicious OpenAPI document content before rendering string, docstring, and f-string contexts in generated Python. The generated Python client can contain attacker-controlled Python that executes when a user imports the client, affecting the importing environment's integrity and potentially its confidentiality and availability. This issue is fixed in version 0.29.1. |
| Unvalidated environments URL allows OAuth authorization code + PKCE verifier theft and account takeover via injected OIDC authority in Ditto Explorer in Eclipse Ditto Ditto Explorer [3.6.0,3.9.7] allows a craft link set an attacker-controlled OIDC authority with autoSso enabled. The UI then automatically starts a login at the genuine identity provider but exchanges the returned authorization code together with its PKCE code_verifier at an attacker-controlled token endpoint. This lets the attacker redeem the code for the victim's access and refresh tokens. Alternatively, an attacker-controlled api_uri causes the UI to send the victim's bearer token or Basic credentials to the attacker. Because the configuration is persisted, later visits to the UI without the crafted link repeat the token theft. |
| A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the internal Command-Line Interface (CLI) authorization handling mechanism of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1. An authenticated user or local process that can manipulate the process execution environment can bypass Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) validation checks. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to elevate privileges to root |
| Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 39.8.6, 40.9.0, 41.1.1, and 42.0.0-beta.1, shell.openPath() did not reject paths containing embedded null bytes. Apps that perform string-only validation of file paths, for example checking the file extension, before passing them to shell.openPath() could be bypassed, allowing an attacker-controlled path to open a different file than the one that passed validation. Apps are only affected if they pass paths derived from untrusted input to shell.openPath() and rely on string-based validation without a filesystem check. This issue is fixed in versions 39.8.6, 40.9.0, 41.1.1, and 42.0.0-beta.1. |
| Legcord 1.1.0 through 1.3.0 contains a configuration injection vulnerability that allows script in the Discord page to write any config key via the window.legcord settings.setConfig bridge. Attackers exploiting a Discord XSS can set additionalArguments to persistently add --proxy-server and --ignore-certificate-errors switches, routing all client traffic through an interception proxy. |
| In Sapling SCM prior to v0.2.20260929-102736, control characters were allowed to be embedded in Git subtree URLs. A maliciously constructed repository, if cloned by a target, could trigger code execution on otherwise read-only actions such as sl log/blame/annotate. |
| colmux in collectl before 4.3.20.2 does not sanitize ANSI/VT100 terminal escape sequences in data received from remote collectl instances before displaying it, allowing a local user on a monitored host to inject escape sequences into the terminal of an operator running colmux, via a crafted process name (argv[0]). |
| The Route OpenShift resource allows to define routes to make pods reachable at a subdomain through HAProxy. It was found that the checks performed on the spec.path YAML stanza in a Route document was insufficient and could allow a controlled injection of the HAProxy configuration. |
| External control of system or configuration setting vulnerability in The Wikimedia Foundation MediaWiki CentralAuth extension allows Code Injection.
This issue affects MediaWiki CentralAuth extension: 1.46, 1.45, and 1.43. |
| Flysystem is an open source file storage library for PHP. Prior to 3.35.3, the default WhitespacePathNormalizer in src/WhitespacePathNormalizer.php used by Filesystem across adapters calls preg_match with the u modifier and treats both false and 0 as falsy. A path containing malformed UTF-8 causes PCRE to return false, so paths that also contain control characters bypass CorruptedPathDetected::forPath() in normalizePath(). Filesystem::write() can store such names and Filesystem::listContents() can return the raw ANSI escape sequences, allowing hidden or spoofed terminal file listings when an administrator displays them. This issue is fixed in version 3.35.3. |
| onefetch through 2.28.1 writes repository information field values to the terminal without removing control characters, allowing terminal escape sequence injection. Attackers can embed ANSI/OSC escape sequences in project manifest version and name fields to manipulate terminal output, rewrite window titles, hide text, or trigger emulator-specific behavior when victims run onefetch. |
| spaceship-prompt through 4.22.5 fails to sanitize control characters from project manifest version fields before rendering them in the zsh prompt. Attackers can embed ANSI/OSC escape sequences in version fields of package manifests to manipulate terminal output, rewrite window titles, or spoof displayed text when victims enter the directory. |
| Moquette is a lightweight Java MQTT broker. Prior to 0.18.1, when pattern-based ACL rules are configured, AuthorizationsCollector.canDoOperation substitutes client ID and username values directly into rules containing %c or %u and then treats the result as an MQTT topic filter. A client that uses + or # in either identity can broaden the substituted filter and gain cross-tenant read and write access. A # identity can also produce an invalid filter that triggers a NullPointerException in Topic.match and disrupts session processing. This issue is fixed in version 0.18.1. |
