CVSS v3.1 |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in r592_remove in drivers/memstick/host/r592.c in media access in the Linux Kernel. This flaw allows a local attacker to crash the system at device disconnect, possibly leading to a kernel information leak. |
| A vulnerability was found in openldap. This security flaw causes a null pointer dereference in ber_memalloc_x() function. |
| There is a null-pointer-dereference flaw found in f2fs_write_end_io in fs/f2fs/data.c in the Linux kernel. This flaw allows a local privileged user to cause a denial of service problem. |
| Issue summary: Processing some specially crafted ASN.1 object identifiers or
data containing them may be very slow.
Impact summary: Applications that use OBJ_obj2txt() directly, or use any of
the OpenSSL subsystems OCSP, PKCS7/SMIME, CMS, CMP/CRMF or TS with no message
size limit may experience notable to very long delays when processing those
messages, which may lead to a Denial of Service.
An OBJECT IDENTIFIER is composed of a series of numbers - sub-identifiers -
most of which have no size limit. OBJ_obj2txt() may be used to translate
an ASN.1 OBJECT IDENTIFIER given in DER encoding form (using the OpenSSL
type ASN1_OBJECT) to its canonical numeric text form, which are the
sub-identifiers of the OBJECT IDENTIFIER in decimal form, separated by
periods.
When one of the sub-identifiers in the OBJECT IDENTIFIER is very large
(these are sizes that are seen as absurdly large, taking up tens or hundreds
of KiBs), the translation to a decimal number in text may take a very long
time. The time complexity is O(n^2) with 'n' being the size of the
sub-identifiers in bytes (*).
With OpenSSL 3.0, support to fetch cryptographic algorithms using names /
identifiers in string form was introduced. This includes using OBJECT
IDENTIFIERs in canonical numeric text form as identifiers for fetching
algorithms.
Such OBJECT IDENTIFIERs may be received through the ASN.1 structure
AlgorithmIdentifier, which is commonly used in multiple protocols to specify
what cryptographic algorithm should be used to sign or verify, encrypt or
decrypt, or digest passed data.
Applications that call OBJ_obj2txt() directly with untrusted data are
affected, with any version of OpenSSL. If the use is for the mere purpose
of display, the severity is considered low.
In OpenSSL 3.0 and newer, this affects the subsystems OCSP, PKCS7/SMIME,
CMS, CMP/CRMF or TS. It also impacts anything that processes X.509
certificates, including simple things like verifying its signature.
The impact on TLS is relatively low, because all versions of OpenSSL have a
100KiB limit on the peer's certificate chain. Additionally, this only
impacts clients, or servers that have explicitly enabled client
authentication.
In OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2, this only affects displaying diverse objects,
such as X.509 certificates. This is assumed to not happen in such a way
that it would cause a Denial of Service, so these versions are considered
not affected by this issue in such a way that it would be cause for concern,
and the severity is therefore considered low. |
| A hash collision flaw was found in the IPv6 connection lookup table in the Linux kernel’s IPv6 functionality when a user makes a new kind of SYN flood attack. A user located in the local network or with a high bandwidth connection can increase the CPU usage of the server that accepts IPV6 connections up to 95%. |
| In nf_tables_updtable, if nf_tables_table_enable returns an error, nft_trans_destroy is called to free the transaction object. nft_trans_destroy() calls list_del(), but the transaction was never placed on a list -- the list head is all zeroes, this results in a NULL pointer dereference. |
| In the Linux kernel, pick_next_rt_entity() may return a type confused entry, not detected by the BUG_ON condition, as the confused entry will not be NULL, but list_head.The buggy error condition would lead to a type confused entry with the list head, which would then be used as a type confused sched_rt_entity,causing memory corruption. |
| A vulnerability was found in GNU C Library 2.38. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function __monstartup of the file gmon.c of the component Call Graph Monitor. The manipulation leads to buffer overflow. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. VDB-220246 is the identifier assigned to this vulnerability. NOTE: The real existence of this vulnerability is still doubted at the moment. The inputs that induce this vulnerability are basically addresses of the running application that is built with gmon enabled. It's basically trusted input or input that needs an actual security flaw to be compromised or controlled. |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in qdisc_graft in net/sched/sch_api.c in the Linux Kernel due to a race problem. This flaw leads to a denial of service issue. If patch ebda44da44f6 ("net: sched: fix race condition in qdisc_graft()") not applied yet, then kernel could be affected. |
| The function X509_VERIFY_PARAM_add0_policy() is documented to
implicitly enable the certificate policy check when doing certificate
verification. However the implementation of the function does not
enable the check which allows certificates with invalid or incorrect
policies to pass the certificate verification.
As suddenly enabling the policy check could break existing deployments it was
decided to keep the existing behavior of the X509_VERIFY_PARAM_add0_policy()
function.
Instead the applications that require OpenSSL to perform certificate
policy check need to use X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set1_policies() or explicitly
enable the policy check by calling X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set_flags() with
the X509_V_FLAG_POLICY_CHECK flag argument.
Certificate policy checks are disabled by default in OpenSSL and are not
commonly used by applications. |
| A vulnerability was detected in turboderp ExLlamaV2 up to 0.3.2. Affected is the function STFile.get_tensor of the file exllamav2/stloader.py of the component Safetensors Tensor Loader. Performing a manipulation of the argument data_offsets results in buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| `_nx_secure_x509_parse_signature_data` computes the certificate signature's length as `tlv_length - 1` without first checking that `tlv_length` is non-zero. A certificate whose signature is an empty ASN.1 BIT STRING therefore parses successfully and leaves the certificate holding a signature length of `0xFFFFFFFF` and a signature pointer one byte past the end of the buffer. Certificates are parsed from the peer during the TLS handshake, so the input is remote and unauthenticated. |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in libwebsockets main 106d542c allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the LEJP JSON parser |
| Buffer Overflow vulnerability in zserge jsmn jsmn HEAD 25647e6 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the jsmn.h, jsmn_parse(), example/jsondump.c, dump() components |
| An issue in mp4v2 2.0.0 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code via the MP4RtpAtom::ReadHntiType() in src/atom_rtp.cpp. A specially crafted MP4 file can cause an undersized rtp atom to produce a near-2^64 allocation size through an unchecked offset subtraction |
| mp4v2 2.0.0 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in MP4File::GenerateTracks() in src/mp4file.cpp. This allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service |
| Race condition, use-after-free in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 115.43, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5. |
| Use-after-free in the SVG component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 115.43, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5. |
| An OS Command Injection vulnerability in TP-Link Archer BE230 v1.2 and Archer AXE75 v2 (web modules) allows adjacent
authenticated
attacker to execute arbitrary code. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to gain full administrative control of the device, resulting in severe compromise of configuration integrity, network security, and service availability.
This CVE covers one of multiple distinct OS command injection issues identified across separate code paths. Although similar in nature, each instance is tracked under a unique CVE ID. |
| A vulnerability has been found in OAID Tengine up to 1.12.0. This vulnerability affects the function get_tm_file_model of the file source/serializer/tmfile/tm2_serializer.c of the component tmfile Model Loader. Such manipulation of the argument offset_root leads to out-of-bounds read. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
