CVSS v3.1 |
| IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.10, 8.11, 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system. |
| A vulnerability was detected in YouTransfer up to 0.0.7/1.0.6/1.1.0. Affected is an unknown function of the file /settings/template of the component Template Rendering. The manipulation results in path traversal. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability has been found in SeldonIO MLServer up to 1.6.1. Affected is the function _extract_env of the file mlserver/env.py of the component environment_tarball Handler. Such manipulation leads to path traversal. The attack may be performed from remote. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Wazuh from 4.1.1 before 4.14.8 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the get_lists() and delete_list_file() CDB list handlers that allows compromised cluster workers to read or delete master files. Attackers can send traversal or absolute-path filenames through the internal cluster RPC path, bypassing REST validation and RBAC to delete files like rbac.db. |
| A path traversal weakness in an optional, non-default administrative feature allowed an authenticated administrator to move files to unintended locations outside the feature's designated directory. This could potentially be leveraged to execute arbitrary code on the underlying system. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in .NET Client Library for SIMATIC S7 Webserver API (All versions < V3.3.61). Affected applications do not properly validate filenames received from remote servers during ticket downloads.
This could allow an attacker who can manipulate the ticket response to write arbitrary files outside the intended download directory and, when overwriting is enabled, replace existing files accessible to the application. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in jbardin scp.py up to 0.16.1. The impacted element is the function _recv_file/_recv_pushd of the component SCP Receive Handler. The manipulation leads to path traversal. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. Upgrading to version 0.16.2 is sufficient to resolve this issue. The identifier of the patch is 42fc3aaa71411daed60544e3b40179c1038bed5d. Upgrading the affected component is advised. The vendor was contacted early, responded in a very professional manner and quickly released a fixed version of the affected product. |
| A vulnerability was detected in MosaicML Composer up to 0.32.1. This affects the function tarball.extractall of the file composer/utils/checkpoint.py of the component Checkpoint Extraction. The manipulation results in path traversal. The attack can be executed remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure. |
| Path traversal in Samsung Flow prior to version 4.9.22.1 allows local attackers to access clipboard data. |
| A path traversal vulnerability in the OTRS SendSupportBundle functionality allows an authenticated administrator to reference file paths outside the intended directory.
This may allow files accessible to the OTRS application process to be deleted. The vulnerability does not bypass operating system file permissions. On OTRS versions prior to OTRS 7, the effective permissions of the web server process are relevant. Starting with OTRS 7, access is limited by the permissions of the dedicated OTRS user. Files with overly permissive ownership or file system permissions may therefore also be affected.
The affected functionality may additionally attempt to include controlled files in a support bundle. However, support bundles are sent to a predefined OTRS support address, and direct disclosure of arbitrary files to the attacker has not been demonstrated.
An attacker therefore requires valid administrative access to exploit the vulnerable functionality. The primary demonstrated impact is the deletion of files outside the intended directory within the effective permissions of the OTRS application process.
This issue affects OTRS:
* 7.0.X
* 8.0.X
* 2023.X
* 2024.X
* 2025.X
* 2026.X before 2026.7.X
Please note that ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6.x and before are vulnerable. Products based on the ((OTRS)) Community Edition also very likely to be affected |
| A vulnerability was found in InstantSoft icms2 up to 2.18.2. Impacted is the function files_delete_file of the file system/fields/image.php of the component Image Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument size results in path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is named 03d70937f1ff97031523222808726994b8b79379. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. |
| The Metasploit Framework post module post/apple_ios/gather/ios_image_gather is affected by a relative path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22). The module interpolates file names taken from a Meterpreter directory listing — data fully controlled by a hostile or tampered iOS device — directly into the local destination path passed to client.fs.file.download_file(), with no sanitization. The underlying stdapi sink (lib/rex/post/meterpreter/extensions/stdapi/fs/file.rb) writes to whatever path is supplied, so a listing entry such as ../../msfconsole.rc escapes the intended ~/.msf4/loot/<random> directory and overwrites ~/.msf4/msfconsole.rc, a resource file that every msfconsole invocation automatically executes at startup (lib/msf/ui/console/driver.rb:196). An attacker-controlled device that lures an operator into running this gather module achieves an arbitrary file write as the operator; because the written msfconsole.rc can load a second written file (a Ruby plugin whose top-level code runs on require), this converts into persistent code execution and an interactive shell as the operator (frequently root) on the pentester's workstation at the next console launch. The same traversal was previously fixed upstream in the recursive downloader (stdapi/fs/dir.rb scrubs separators); this module omitted the equivalent scrub. The fix applies the same separator scrub (or File.basename) to listing entries before building the local path. |
| Path traversal in Smart Switch prior to version 3.7.73 allows physical attackers to access files with Smart Switch privilege. |
| Thelia v2.6.1 contains path traversal and PHP code injection vulnerabilities in its translation editor that can be chained to achieve remote code execution. The `item_name` parameter, used to build the translation file's write path, does not sanitize directory traversal sequences such as `../`. This enables an authenticated user with `UPDATE`-level permissions on `admin.configuration.language` to write files outside the expected `templates/` directory, including to web‑accessible paths. Separately, the translation‑writing logic does not escape `\` in user‑supplied values, allowing inputs to break out of the PHP string literal and inject executable code into the translation file. Chained together, these flaws allow a malicious PHP file to be written to a web-accessible path and executed with the web‑server’s privileges. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 contain privileged legacy InfoStudio modules that do not sufficiently validate user-controlled file paths and user-context values. Exploitation could result in unauthorized access to server files or execution under an unintended identity. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 allow an authenticated Query Console user to supply unsafe path values to a privileged filesystem helper, which could result in disclosure of arbitrary server files. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in Polaris Office App 9.9.19 on Android. Affected by this vulnerability is the function com.infraware.service.m.n.a of the component Document Intake. The manipulation of the argument _display_name results in path traversal. The attack is only possible with local access. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 9.9.22 addresses this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The vendor confirms: "We added path validation logic to ensure that files are created only within the designated temporary directory." |
| plugNmeet Server through 2.5.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the whiteboard conversion endpoint that allows any meeting participant to read server files via crafted filePath values. Attackers can supply ../ sequences so text or office documents are converted into page images, then fetch them unauthenticated through /download/uploadedFile/. |
| VideoLAN VLC for Android prior to version 3.7.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the Remote Access Server routing for the authenticated endpoint GET /download. The file query parameter is concatenated into a filesystem path under the configured download directory without canonicalization or directory containment checks, allowing an authenticated attacker with network reachability to the Remote Access Server to request files outside the intended directory. The impact is bounded by the Android application sandbox and storage restrictions, typically limiting exposure to app-internal and app-specific external storage. |
| A vulnerability was found in EricLBuehler Mistral.rs up to 0.9.3. The affected element is the function calibration_apply of the file mistralrs-server-core/src/handlers.rs. Performing a manipulation of the argument save_cimatrix results in path traversal. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. Upgrading to version 0.9.4 is sufficient to fix this issue. The patch is named 8c81056712709b4845ec6d9531e4d35bab4a367c. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component. |
