| CVE-2017-13090 | 3 Debian, Gnu, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Wget, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The retr.c:fd_read_body() function is called when processing OK responses. When the response is sent chunked in wget before 1.19.2, the chunk parser uses strtol() to read each chunk's length, but doesn't check that the chunk length is a non-negative number. The code then tries to read the chunk in pieces of 8192 bytes by using the MIN() macro, but ends up passing the negative chunk length to retr.c:fd_read(). As fd_read() takes an int argument, the high 32 bits of the chunk length are discarded, leaving fd_read() with a completely attacker controlled length argument. The attacker can corrupt malloc metadata after the allocated buffer. | ||||

| The getsym function in tekhex.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.29, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (stack-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a malformed tekhex binary. | ||||
| CVE-2018-1000156 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Patch and 11 more | 2025-04-14 | N/A |
| GNU Patch version 2.7.6 contains an input validation vulnerability when processing patch files, specifically the EDITOR_PROGRAM invocation (using ed) can result in code execution. This attack appear to be exploitable via a patch file processed via the patch utility. This is similar to FreeBSD's CVE-2015-1418 however although they share a common ancestry the code bases have diverged over time. | ||||
| CVE-2015-4156 | 2 Gnu, Opensuse | 2 Parallel, Opensuse | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| GNU Parallel before 20150522 (Nepal), when using (1) --cat or (2) --fifo with --sshlogin, allows local users to write to arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a temporary file. | ||||
| CVE-2015-4155 | 1 Gnu | 1 Parallel | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| GNU Parallel before 20150422, when using (1) --pipe, (2) --tmux, (3) --cat, (4) --fifo, or (5) --compress, allows local users to write to arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a temporary file. | ||||
