CVE-2026-97589 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/crypto: Fix wrong return code to engine in asynch callbacks When crypto_finalize_hash_request() or crypto_finalize_skcipher_request() explicitly completes a request, the do_one_request callback must return 0 to indicate successful handling. Returning a negative error code causes the crypto engine to assume the driver failed to take ownership and triggers a second completion via crypto_request_complete(), resulting in a double completion. This pattern occurs in paes_s390.c 4 times and once in phmac_s390.c. Fixed in phmac_do_one_request() and all four paes do_one_request callbacks (ecb, cbc, ctr, xts) by returning 0 after explicit finalization instead of propagating the error code.
CVE-2026-97916 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Validate firmware log buffer metadata The tracing log headers parsed by fw_log_print_buffer() reside in DMA-shared BOs that the NPU firmware can write to. fw_log_from_bo() validated log->header_size and log->size, but fw_log_print_buffer() re-read those same fields from shared memory afterwards, allowing a TOCTOU where firmware changes them between the check and the use, and making the host dereference out-of-bounds addresses while printing logs. Snapshot the validated values once with READ_ONCE() and pass them down explicitly in a new struct ivpu_fw_log_desc instead of re-reading them from the shared struct.
CVE-2026-97942 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/alternatives: Exclude text poking against change_page_attr() From time to time, the following BUG can be observed in the x86 alternatives patching code [0]: > kernel BUG at arch/x86/kernel/alternative.c:2576! > Oops: invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI > CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 355 Comm: (udev-worker) Not tainted 7.1.3-1-default #1 PREEMPT(full) openSUSE Tumbleweed 8c1795b03ec64f997e57a8ad38b1161e3b98da64 > Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS unknown 02/02/2022 > RIP: 0010:__text_poke+0x2aa/0x450 > Call Trace: > <TASK> > smp_text_poke_batch_finish+0x2a7/0x320 > __static_call_transform+0xb7/0x220 > arch_static_call_transform+0x5b/0xb0 > __static_call_init+0xe9/0x270 > static_call_module_notify+0x11f/0x150 > notifier_call_chain+0x61/0xe0 > blocking_notifier_call_chain_robust+0x63/0xc0 > load_module+0x1c92/0x20c0 > init_module_from_file+0xd8/0x140 > idempotent_init_module+0x100/0x2f0 > __x64_sys_finit_module+0x71/0xe0 > do_syscall_64+0xe1/0x610 > entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e which matches the following BUG_ON() in alternative.c: /* * If something went wrong, crash and burn since recovery paths are not * implemented. */ BUG_ON(!pages[0] || (cross_page_boundary && !pages[1])); This can happen if vmalloc_to_page() fails, for any reason. Such can happen if text poking races with CPA, which can possibly result in the collapsing of page tables (or breaking of PMD hugepages). It is not a problem for most users of vmalloc_to_page() (they solely own the vmalloc'd range) but, when CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_EXECMEM_ROX=y, various modules own a single execmem vmalloc range, and can call set_memory_*() in parallel on it. This can happen to race against __text_poke and cause havoc in vmalloc_to_page(). Fix it by excluding against CPA using the init_mm mmap read lock. [ dhansen: Fix up SoB ordering. The actual code flow here was: Pedro=>Lorenzo=>Mike=>Me which is reflected in the SoB chain now. I *believe* Mike simply picked up Lorenzo's update to Pedro's post from the Link ]

CVE-2026-78394 1 Wordpress-extensions 1 Link Library 2026-09-25 4.1 Medium
The Link Library WordPress plugin before 7.9.6 does not sanitize a user-supplied destination folder before writing a generated image to disk, allowing users with the Contributor role and above to create directories and write or overwrite image files anywhere the web server can write, including outside the site's document root. The written file name is always numeric with a fixed image extension, so executable code cannot be planted this way.

CVE-2026-93226 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: use RCU iterator to dump route exceptions rt6_nh_dump_exceptions() uses hlist_for_each_entry() to iterate over RCU-protected exception lists. The caller holds rcu_read_lock(), but does not hold rt6_exception_lock, so rt6_insert_exception() can concurrently add an entry with hlist_add_head_rcu(). KCSAN reports this race (irrelevant details omitted): ================================================================== BUG: KCSAN: data-race in rt6_insert_exception / rt6_nh_dump_exceptions write (marked) to 0xffff8a7c44c59620 of 8 bytes by interrupt on cpu 5: rt6_insert_exception+0x3bb/0x760 __ip6_rt_update_pmtu+0x4fe/0x750 ip6_sk_update_pmtu+0x19a/0x3b0 udpv6_err+0x3ff/0x800 icmpv6_notify+0x1e1/0x440 icmpv6_rcv+0x8c0/0xab0 ip6_protocol_deliver_rcu+0x616/0x840 ip6_input_finish+0xb9/0x160 ... entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f read to 0xffff8a7c44c59620 of 8 bytes by task 549 on cpu 14: rt6_nh_dump_exceptions+0xb3/0x260 rt6_dump_route+0x53e/0x5f0 fib6_dump_node+0x6d/0xf0 fib6_walk_continue+0x290/0x2d0 fib6_dump_table+0x28d/0x360 inet6_dump_fib+0x37d/0x620 rtnl_dumpit+0x7b/0xd0 netlink_dump+0x3ae/0x7e0 ... entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f 4 locks held by dumper/549: ... #1: (rcu_read_lock){....}-{1:3}, at: inet6_dump_fib+0x88/0x620 #2: (&tb->tb6_lock){+.-.}-{3:3}, at: fib6_dump_table+0x1e9/0x360 #3: (rcu_read_lock){....}-{1:3}, at: rt6_dump_route+0x483/0x5f0 value changed: 0xffff8a7c44e05700 -> 0xffff8a7c45d60100 Reported by Kernel Concurrency Sanitizer on: CPU: 14 UID: 0 PID: 549 Comm: dumper Not tainted 7.2.0-rc7-virtme #38 PREEMPT(lazy) ... CVE-2026-71537 1 Paymenter 1 Paymenter 2026-09-24 6.5 Medium
Paymenter is a free and open-source webshop solution for management of hosting services. Prior to 1.5.7, app/Livewire/Services/Upgrade.php::doUpgrade() relies on Service::upgradable to check for a pending service upgrade and later executes $credit->increment('amount', abs($price)) without DB::transaction or lockForUpdate() spanning those operations. An authenticated customer with an active downgradable service can submit concurrent downgrade requests that each observe no pending upgrade, create separate upgrade records, and increment the same account credit balance, producing multiple spendable refunds for one downgrade. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.7.

CVE-2026-63117 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-09-24 6.5 Medium
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.28.0, an authenticated RDP client can advertise DVI ADPCM with nBlockAlign equal to 8 and nChannels equal to 2 to make the `bs` calculation in rdpsnd_server_select_format in channels/rdpsnd/server/rdpsnd_main.c equal zero. The subsequent out_frames modulo `bs` operation raises SIGFPE and terminates the server-side rdpsnd channel process. This vulnerability fixed in 3.28.0.
CVE-2026-69364 1 Microsoft 26 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 23 more 2026-09-24 7.1 High

CVE-2026-58093 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-09-24 7 High
The TIOCSCTTY ioctl handler drops the tty lock in order to acquire the process tree lock. After reacquiring the tty lock, the handler did not revalidate the state of the terminal, and could proceed to link a terminal that was concurrently being destroyed to the calling process' session. An unprivileged local user can exploit this race condition to escalate privileges.
