CVSS v3.1 |
| AMI APTIOV contains vulnerabilities in BIOS where users may cause "Out-of-bounds Write” by local access. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to buffer overflows, memory corruption, and arbitrary code execution, and also impact Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. |
| ConnectBot SSH Client Library is written in Kotlin with Kaitai Struct and KStateMachine. Prior to 0.3.1, the SSH protocol parser trusts attacker-controlled inner byte lengths and element counts without verifying that they fit in the containing packet. A malicious or compromised SSH server can return a small malformed packet whose oversized declarations cause the Kaitai Struct Java runtime to attempt excessive allocation or repeated parsing before detecting truncated input. The general transport path requires a client connection but no authentication or optional feature; malformed SSH-agent messages additionally require SSH agent forwarding. The issue can raise an uncaught OutOfMemoryError and terminate the application process, with no demonstrated confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cgroup/rstat: validate cpu before css_rstat_cpu() access
css_rstat_updated() is exposed as a BPF kfunc and accepts a
caller-provided cpu argument. The function uses cpu for per-cpu rstat
lookups without checking whether it refers to a valid possible CPU.
A BPF iter/cgroup program with CAP_BPF and CAP_PERFMON can pass an
invalid cpu value. On an unfixed UBSCAN_BOUNDS test kernel, cpu ==
0x7fffffff triggers:
UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in kernel/cgroup/rstat.c:31:9
index 2147483647 is out of range for type 'long unsigned int [64]'
Call Trace:
css_rstat_updated
bpf_iter_run_prog
cgroup_iter_seq_show
bpf_seq_read
Add cpu validation to the BPF-facing css_rstat_updated() kfunc and
move the common implementation to __css_rstat_updated() for in-kernel
callers. |
| ZDR decoding in libnfs through 6.0.2 before 7613236 has an out-of-bounds write related to lib/libnfs-zdr.c with libnfs_zdr_bytes(), libnfs_zdr_string(), and libnfs_zdr_array(). The caller-supplied maxsize value is not honored. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rxrpc: Fix DATA decrypt vs splice() by copying data to buffer in recvmsg
This improves the fix for CVE-2026-43500.
Fix the pagecache corruption from in-place decryption of a DATA packet
transmitted locally by splice() by getting rid of the packet sharing in the
I/O thread and unconditionally extracting the packet content into a bounce
buffer in which the buffer is decrypted. recvmsg() (or the kernel
equivalent) then copies the data from the bounce buffer to the destination
buffer. The sk_buff then remains unmodified.
This has an additional advantage in that the packet is then arranged in the
buffer with the correct alignment required for the crypto algorithms to
process directly. The performance of the crypto does seem to be a little
faster and, surprisingly, the unencrypted performance doesn't seem to
change much - possibly due to removing complexity from the I/O thread.
Yet another advantage is that the I/O thread doesn't have to copy packets
which would slow down packet distribution, ACK generation, etc..
The buffer belongs to the call and is allocated initially at 2K,
sufficiently large to hold a whole jumbo subpacket, but the buffer will be
increased in size if needed. However, to take this work, MSG_PEEK may
cause a later packet to be decrypted into the buffer, in which case the
earlier one will need re-decrypting for a subsequent recvmsg().
Note that rx_pkt_offset may legitimately see 0 as a valid offset now, so
switch to using USHRT_MAX to indicate an invalid offset.
Note also that I would generally prefer to replace the buffers of the
current sk_buff with a new kmalloc'd buffer of the right size, ditching the
old data and frags as this makes the handling of MSG_PEEK easier and
removes the re-decryption issue, but this looks like quite a complicated
thing to achieve. skb_morph() looks half way to what I want, but I don't
want to have to allocate a new sk_buff. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mana: validate rx_req_idx to prevent out-of-bounds array access
In mana_hwc_rx_event_handler(), rx_req_idx is derived from
sge->address in DMA-coherent memory. In Confidential VMs
(SEV-SNP/TDX), this memory is shared unencrypted and HW can modify
WQE contents at any time. No bounds check exists on rx_req_idx,
which can lead to an out-of-bounds access into reqs[].
Add bounds check on rx_req_idx in mana_hwc_rx_event_handler() before
using it to index the reqs[] array. |
| music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. Prior to 11.16.0, the ID3v2 parser trusts the syncsafe tag-size field and allocates the complete tag body before checking whether the input contains the declared bytes. A truncated file containing only an ID3v2 header can request an allocation approaching 268 MiB; the allocation succeeds, the subsequent read reaches end of stream, the EndOfStreamError is caught internally, and the caller receives a normal metadata object. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0. |
| music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. Prior to 11.16.0, the APEv2 parser reads an attacker-controlled tag-item size and allocates a Uint8Array for a binary item before proving that the declared item fits in the remaining tag or file data. A small crafted APE file can therefore trigger a disproportionate allocation, including through cover-art items, and repeated or concurrent parsing can exhaust process memory. The demonstrated impact is availability loss only. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.14.6, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by remote code execution via crafted markdown_extensions in techdocs mkdocs.yml. An authenticated user who can register catalog entities can provide a crafted mkdocs.yml causing arbitrary OS command execution on the TechDocs build host when the docs are built. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.6 and 1.15.4. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.14.6, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by configuration bypass in techdocs mkdocs.yml sanitization. Insufficient validation of MkDocs configuration during TechDocs generation could allow an authenticated user who can register or modify documentation sources to execute arbitrary commands in the build environment. Impact is limited to resources accessible to the TechDocs backend or build container. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.6 and 1.15.4. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.3.1 to 2.11.0, extractPart allocates a byte slice directly from an attacker-controlled CFB directory-entry size before validating the sector chain or size domain. extractPart trusts the CFB directory entry streamSize for EncryptionInfo and EncryptedPackage allocations before validating the stream. When a crafted OLE compound file declares a negative or extremely large EncryptionInfo or EncryptedPackage stream size, the declared size reaches make with a negative length or forces a multi-gigabyte allocation, allowing an attacker to panic or exhaust process memory. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.0.0 to 2.11.0, checkRow sizes its target cell slice from the last cell in XML document order and then re-scatters every cell by its explicit column reference. GetCellValue reaches workSheetReader and checkRow, where targetList is too short for an earlier out-of-order cell. When a crafted row places a higher-column cell before a lower-column final cell and a non-streaming worksheet API reads the sheet, the earlier cell's column index exceeds the slice length derived from the final cell, allowing an attacker to cause an unrecovered panic and terminate the process. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.1.0 to 2.11.0, flatCols expands file-loaded column ranges without validating Min and Max against the worksheet column limit. SetColWidth reaches flatCols, which expands xlsxCol.Min through xlsxCol.Max without enforcing MaxColumns. When a crafted worksheet supplies an oversized col max attribute and the application invokes a column mutator, flatCols performs a deep copy and append for every attacker-selected column number, allowing an attacker to consume excessive CPU and memory or trigger OOM. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| The affected code used child_process.execSync with a shell string for generator installation and uninstallation. This allowed an attacker to execute arbitrary OS commands with the developer's privileges by manipulating the ApplicationWizard.installationLocation VS Code workspace configuration value. Because the value was passed directly to the shell without sanitisation, a malicious workspace repository could craft a settings.json that injects OS commands when a developer opens the project and triggers a generator installation. |
| IBM Maximo Application Suite - Location Service for Esri Component 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 is vulnerable to command injection due to improper sanitisation of a user-controlled value passed to a shell command in a Kubernetes operator task. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in zhayujie CowAgent up to 2.1.9. The impacted element is an unknown function of the component Media Download Handler. Such manipulation leads to uncontrolled memory allocation. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. Upgrading to version 2.2.0 is sufficient to resolve this issue. The name of the patch is b7967210268fc4c0afea1078223e74e7e96a8a54. You should upgrade the affected component. |
| A command injection vulnerability in the REST API management interface of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 10.0.1 allows an authenticated user to execute arbitrary system commands via crafted input parameters. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: Check for underflow in xfrm_state_mtu
Leo Lin reported OOB write issue in esp component:
xfrm_state_mtu() returns u32 but performs its arithmetic in unsigned
modulo-2^32 space using an attacker-influenced "header_len + authsize +
net_adj" subtracted from a small "mtu" argument. A nobody user can
install an IPv4 ESP tunnel SA with a large authentication key
(XFRMA_ALG_AUTH_TRUNC, e.g. hmac(sha512), 64-byte key, 64-byte trunc),
configure a small interface MTU (68 bytes), and set XFRMA_TFCPAD to a
large value. When a single UDP datagram is then sent through the
tunnel, xfrm_state_mtu() underflows to a near-2^32 value, and
esp_output() consumes it as a signed int via:
padto = min(x->tfcpad, xfrm_state_mtu(x, mtu_cached))
esp.tfclen = padto - skb->len (assigned to int)
esp.tfclen ends up negative (e.g. -207). It is sign-extended to size_t
when passed to memset() inside esp_output_fill_trailer(), producing a
~16 EB write of zeroes at skb_tail_pointer(skb). KASAN logs it as
"Write of size 18446744073709551537 at addr ffff888...".
Check for underflow and return 1. This causes the sendmsg attempt to
fail with ENETUNREACH. |
| FreeRDP 3.18.0 before 3.32.0 has a heap-based out-of-bounds write in freerdp_interruptible_get_line, which shrinks the buffer to 32 bytes while keeping a pre-filled suggested username's length as its write offset. A malicious or compromised ARM routing service can return a long redirectedUsername that reaches the CLI credential prompt, crashing the client when the user types input. |
| mall4j through 4.0 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated storefront customers to delete other shoppers' cart items through an operator precedence error in the cleanExpiryProdList SQL statement. Attackers can send one DELETE request to /p/shopCart/cleanExpiryProdList to remove every user's cart entries for off-shelf products, which do not return when products are restocked. |
