| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.17.8, the @backstage/backend-defaults package is affected by improper access control in backend action invocation. An authenticated user could invoke actions that an operator had excluded through action configuration. Existing action permissions and downstream authorization remain enforced. This issue is fixed in version 0.17.8. |

Prior to 3.3.1, 3.4.1, 4.0.3 and 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by scaffolder action input authorization bypass. An authenticated user with access to affected Scaffolder templates could bypass configured action restrictions. Depending on integration credentials, this could grant unauthorized access to repositories and related source-control resources. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.1, 3.4.1, 4.0.3 and 4.1.0. |

| Convex is an open-source reactive database for application developers. Prior to the self-hosted image published on August 10, 2026 and local deployment binary precompiled-2026-08-10-c0cb7ae, a malicious user can, in rare cases, perform unauthorized reading of deployment information from a Convex deployment. The maintainer has intentionally withheld the affected component and technical mechanism to protect self-hosted deployments that have not been updated, and no evidence of exploitation is known. Convex cloud deployments were patched automatically. This issue is fixed in the self-hosted image published on August 10, 2026 and local binary precompiled-2026-08-10-c0cb7ae. |
