CVE-2019-16056 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 11 more 2026-10-14 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Python through 2.7.16, 3.x through 3.5.7, 3.6.x through 3.6.9, and 3.7.x through 3.7.4. The email module wrongly parses email addresses that contain multiple @ characters. An application that uses the email module and implements some kind of checks on the From/To headers of a message could be tricked into accepting an email address that should be denied. An attack may be the same as in CVE-2019-11340; however, this CVE applies to Python more generally.
CVE-2019-13627 5 Canonical, Debian, Libgcrypt20 Project and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt20 and 2 more 2026-10-14 6.3 Medium
It was discovered that there was a ECDSA timing attack in the libgcrypt20 cryptographic library. Version affected: 1.8.4-5, 1.7.6-2+deb9u3, and 1.6.3-2+deb8u4. Versions fixed: 1.8.5-2 and 1.6.3-2+deb8u7.
CVE-2019-13565 7 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 9 Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 6 more 2026-10-14 7.5 High
An issue was discovered in OpenLDAP 2.x before 2.4.48. When using SASL authentication and session encryption, and relying on the SASL security layers in slapd access controls, it is possible to obtain access that would otherwise be denied via a simple bind for any identity covered in those ACLs. After the first SASL bind is completed, the sasl_ssf value is retained for all new non-SASL connections. Depending on the ACL configuration, this can affect different types of operations (searches, modifications, etc.). In other words, a successful authorization step completed by one user affects the authorization requirement for a different user.
CVE-2019-13057 7 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 9 Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 6 more 2026-10-14 4.9 Medium
An issue was discovered in the server in OpenLDAP before 2.4.48. When the server administrator delegates rootDN (database admin) privileges for certain databases but wants to maintain isolation (e.g., for multi-tenant deployments), slapd does not properly stop a rootDN from requesting authorization as an identity from another database during a SASL bind or with a proxyAuthz (RFC 4370) control. (It is not a common configuration to deploy a system where the server administrator and a DB administrator enjoy different levels of trust.)
CVE-2019-12900 7 Bzip, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 9 Bzip2, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 6 more 2026-10-14 9.8 Critical
BZ2_decompress in decompress.c in bzip2 through 1.0.6 has an out-of-bounds write when there are many selectors.
CVE-2019-10160 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 13 more 2026-10-14 9.8 Critical
A security regression of CVE-2019-9636 was discovered in python since commit d537ab0ff9767ef024f26246899728f0116b1ec3 affecting versions 2.7, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and from v3.8.0a4 through v3.8.0b1, which still allows an attacker to exploit CVE-2019-9636 by abusing the user and password parts of a URL. When an application parses user-supplied URLs to store cookies, authentication credentials, or other kind of information, it is possible for an attacker to provide specially crafted URLs to make the application locate host-related information (e.g. cookies, authentication data) and send them to a different host than where it should, unlike if the URLs had been correctly parsed. The result of an attack may vary based on the application.
CVE-2018-20843 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more 2026-10-14 7.5 High
In libexpat in Expat before 2.2.7, XML input including XML names that contain a large number of colons could make the XML parser consume a high amount of RAM and CPU resources while processing (enough to be usable for denial-of-service attacks).
CVE-2018-20482 3 Debian, Gnu, Opensuse 3 Debian Linux, Tar, Leap 2026-10-14 4.7 Medium
GNU Tar through 1.30, when --sparse is used, mishandles file shrinkage during read access, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (infinite read loop in sparse_dump_region in sparse.c) by modifying a file that is supposed to be archived by a different user's process (e.g., a system backup running as root).
CVE-2018-14567 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Tower and 2 more 2026-10-14 N/A
libxml2 2.9.8, if --with-lzma is used, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted XML file that triggers LZMA_MEMLIMIT_ERROR, as demonstrated by xmllint, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-8035 and CVE-2018-9251.
CVE-2018-14404 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Tower and 3 more 2026-10-14 6.5 Medium
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the xpath.c:xmlXPathCompOpEval() function of libxml2 through 2.9.8 when parsing an invalid XPath expression in the XPATH_OP_AND or XPATH_OP_OR case. Applications processing untrusted XSL format inputs with the use of the libxml2 library may be vulnerable to a denial of service attack due to a crash of the application.
CVE-2018-0495 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnupg and 2 more 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt and 11 more 2026-10-14 N/A
Libgcrypt before 1.7.10 and 1.8.x before 1.8.3 allows a memory-cache side-channel attack on ECDSA signatures that can be mitigated through the use of blinding during the signing process in the _gcry_ecc_ecdsa_sign function in cipher/ecc-ecdsa.c, aka the Return Of the Hidden Number Problem or ROHNP. To discover an ECDSA key, the attacker needs access to either the local machine or a different virtual machine on the same physical host.
CVE-2017-7376 3 Debian, Google, Xmlsoft 3 Debian Linux, Android, Libxml2 2026-10-14 N/A
Buffer overflow in libxml2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging an incorrect limit for port values when handling redirects.
CVE-2017-7375 3 Debian, Google, Xmlsoft 3 Debian Linux, Android, Libxml2 2026-10-14 9.8 Critical
A flaw in libxml2 allows remote XML entity inclusion with default parser flags (i.e., when the caller did not request entity substitution, DTD validation, external DTD subset loading, or default DTD attributes). Depending on the context, this may expose a higher-risk attack surface in libxml2 not usually reachable with default parser flags, and expose content from local files, HTTP, or FTP servers (which might be otherwise unreachable).
CVE-2017-15422 5 Canonical, Debian, Google and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Chrome and 5 more 2026-10-14 N/A
Integer overflow in international date handling in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ before 60.1, as used in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2016-5131 8 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 5 more 18 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 15 more 2026-10-14 8.8 High
Use-after-free vulnerability in libxml2 through 2.9.4, as used in Google Chrome before 52.0.2743.82, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the XPointer range-to function.
CVE-2014-7209 1 Debian 1 Mime-support 2026-10-14 N/A
run-mailcap in the Debian mime-support package before 3.52-1+deb7u1 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a filename.
CVE-2013-4235 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Shadow, Fedora and 1 more 2026-10-14 4.7 Medium
shadow: TOCTOU (time-of-check time-of-use) race condition when copying and removing directory trees
CVE-2013-4590 4 Apache, Debian, Oracle and 1 more 5 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Solaris and 2 more 2026-10-09 N/A
Apache Tomcat before 6.0.39, 7.x before 7.0.50, and 8.x before 8.0.0-RC10 allows attackers to obtain "Tomcat internals" information by leveraging the presence of an untrusted web application with a context.xml, web.xml, *.jspx, *.tagx, or *.tld XML document containing an external entity declaration in conjunction with an entity reference, related to an XML External Entity (XXE) issue.
CVE-2011-3389 9 Canonical, Debian, Google and 6 more 21 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Chrome and 18 more 2026-10-09 N/A
The SSL protocol, as used in certain configurations in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and other products, encrypts data by using CBC mode with chained initialization vectors, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain plaintext HTTP headers via a blockwise chosen-boundary attack (BCBA) on an HTTPS session, in conjunction with JavaScript code that uses (1) the HTML5 WebSocket API, (2) the Java URLConnection API, or (3) the Silverlight WebClient API, aka a "BEAST" attack.
CVE-2015-5477 13 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 10 more 79 Os X Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 76 more 2026-10-09 7.5 High
named in ISC BIND 9.x before 9.9.7-P2 and 9.10.x before 9.10.2-P3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (REQUIRE assertion failure and daemon exit) via TKEY queries.
